HI Everyone,
Coach details for the Arun River swim this Saturday are:
07.30am - pick up from Broadway Gardens, Letchworth (near the old Plinston Hall SG6 3NX) - you should be able to park for free all day up by St Francis School, Broadway and walk down to pick up point.
When we get to Little Hampton, we can register and get ourselves sorted ready for race briefing at 12noon and the buses that will transfer us to the start of the river race. Race start time 13.30pm.
The Coach will be picking us back up from Little Hampton at 4.30pm for the return journey back to Letchworth. Please could we ask for a £15 contribution towards the coach. These can be paid direct to the Freedom Bank Account: Sort Code 20-41-12 A/C no: 03113779. Please reference Arun Bus.
Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday. Please put your names on the events calendar so that I know who's coming and we don't leave anyone behind.
Jane

Have a great week Freedom Tri!
Great News... Freedom Tri is now affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT) the National Governing Body of road time trialling.

Happy Friday Freedom! The sun looked set to come out for a few minutes this morning but never mind as we have a fun packed weekend ahead which looks dry at least...
Sat 6th - First Saturday of the Month 5km run organised by NHRR - 9am Norton Common
Sun 7th - Our first club event of the year - The Freedom Duathlon 7am (Event details are on the members forum and FB page.) We have more spaces available for those who want to practice some running, some biking, some more running and, very importantly, your transitions!! It's free, it's open to all members of all abilities and is great fun so please do come along and give it a go.
Good luck to all those racing this weekend. The club is going international as Sarah and Steve travel to Paris this morning for the Paris Marathon on Sunday. It is Steve's first solo marathon i.e. not one that follows a 2.4m swim and 112mile bike ride, so I'm sure it'll feel like a 'promenade dans le parc'!! Have a brilliant time both of you.
Who else is racing, let us know what you are up to??????
You can now book for coached swimming this Friday evening (16th) as sessions are now open and available.
There will be no swimming the following Friday (23rd) due to half term so make the most of this week and book now!!
Good Morning Freedom!! Kudos to all those turbo training this morning with Kieran, our Head Coach - a great start to the week! There are plenty more sessions to get stuck into as we move into February - it'll be race season before you know it...

The Freedom Tri Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 29th January 2024 at The Orange Tree Pub, Baldock. Arrive from 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start.
The AGM is an imperative point in the year for Freedom Tri, allowing the committee to report on how the club is doing and to discuss the finances, membership, constitution and also any other issues raised by you, the members.
The Committee team will also stand down allowing you the chance to stand and be elected for a committee position. Our current positions are: Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, Social Secretary, Membership Secretary and Welfare Officer.
Please support the club and come along to the AGM as we do need a minimum amount of members to constitute a quorum. (We will add the AGM as an event on the calendar so that we can see numbers so please book if you are coming as this will help.)
It will be great to see you there and if there are any areas of the club you would like adding to the Agenda for discussion, please send these to committee@freedomtri.co.uk.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate/vote for the Freedom Tri 2023 awards. The nominees are below so please keep voting as it's a close call in some of the categories!!
