Freedom Tri operates an ongoing programme of training throughout the year, structured around the race season which runs from April to October.
Winter training is largely technique and base fitness orientated and turns to speed and performance development as we approach the race season.
Our programme offers something for everyone, the sessions are structured to help you compete or just complete and above all have fun.
As a club we run a few core sessions in swimming, cycling and running every week, and we also encourage our members to form their own groups and communities based on ability and friendships and try to educate our athletes on the best plans for their training.
We like to encourage novices into the sport and recognise their specific needs and questions, so we hold fairly regular social sessions where athletes of all skills and abilities can get together, share knowledge and learn. We do run occasional novice sessions to give the basic skills for riding on the road, swimming and so on, triathlon is not as daunting as it sounds once you break it down.
